Saturday, March 28th: Early Bird Dinner ~ Boiler Brewing Company ~ This brewing company and tap room is located in the basement boiler room in the historic Grand Manse building. It was originally constructed to serve as a post office and federal court house in 1904. The building is less than one block from our hotel. Dinner will be around 6 p.m., not an official event so you pay your way. They also offer tours of the building each Sunday at 2 p.m. if you'd like to explore other areas of the building.
Sunday, March 29th and Tuesday March 31st ~ There are many things to do for early bird arrivals and Tuesday evening dinner on your own. The historic Haymarket District is only a few blocks from the hotel and easily walkable. There you'll find plenty of shops to browse in and the area boasts 105+ restaurants, coffee bars, dessert vendors, and pubs. Monday, March 30th: Monday Evening Dinner ~ American Speedway Museum ~ This is an amazing collection of cars - old and new - cataloged in 3 stories of this museum. We will have a tail-gate style dinner and then have time for you to wander the floors on your own. Each floor has some unique collections and some will surprise you! Have fun and happy exploring.
Wednesday, April 1st: University of Nebraska - Lincoln Campus Tour ~ After a morning of round-table discussions we'll head over to the campus for lunch and tours of the campus and the Print Copy Mail Merchandise and Distribution Services operation. This university is a big ten school and houses 10 colleges across 3 areas of the city.
Traveling Tips from Jen and Gina ~ We had the chance to explore Lincoln and Omaha for five days in August of 2019. We had a blast! There is so much to do in both cities we couldn't get to everything. We suggest you come in a day or two early or stay a day or two after the conference to enjoy the area. The companions get to explore Omaha for one day, but there is no time on the agenda to get to the Omaha Zoo. We had the chance to briefly explore it and both decided we have to go back with more time. Trust us on this, you'll be glad you stayed a couple of extra days. Ohhh, and bring comfortable shoes!
